We are immensely proud to present, for the enjoyment of all New Zealanders and international visitors, our Waiheke Island gardens.
Waiheke Island is a unique community and a beautiful natural environment. This uniqueness and beauty is an opportunity that allows the Waiheke community to support its sick children with funds raised as a result of our guests visiting some of Waiheke’s most beautiful gardens each year at our annual Garden Safari.
The Garden Safari began in 2001, attracting approximately 350 guests and raising around $5,000. Nine years of the Safari has seen good growth each year, and in that time we have hosted around 8,000 guests through approximately 100 gardens and raised in excess of $145,000.00 to support sick Waiheke children and their families.
Last year 1800 visitors enjoyed the Safari, which contributed an amazing total of $50,000 to the Trust's work on the island.

Following on the popularity of previous years we continue the massive Plant Sale at Rangihoua Estate where you will find a range of plants at fabulous prices. And for extra entertainment local musicians will be performing at selected gardens, a variety of goodies and gourmet treats will be available for purchase and local wines and olive oils will be offered for both tasting and purchase – something for everyone!”
